A Blue Blue Christmas

Of many colorful lights and gifts abound / we are here to greet each with a joyous sound. As we laugh and toast to a wonderful year / to the coming of Christ as be praise and cheer. The bells all ring within our circles / the mistletoe hung and the rest of rich in love settles. To the morning of cold winds blowing as we walk / and to the night when the rest sit down over coffee and talk. To those on the road where for the past days has been so hectic / when the woman beside you smiles cause it has been an hour of traffic. She simply starts a small notion that despite it all Christmas is here / the aura of positivity in everyone stirs. A stranger’s smile is a blessing in the heart / what more of those who have long been apart? Everyone are seeing each other, going back to their roots / all feasts with with friends and families as they track back on a familiar route.

Of that Joyous Month by Sainah Benz Alonzo

Haha no judgements! I am simply a fan of things that rhyme. Though I love writing poems. They are therapeutic and another outlet for expression. Other than words is the visual side of my right brain. I did a very small holiday shoot inspired by my sister’s Aztec blue top. The magic of Ukay-ukay! You never really know what gifts you might find! Happy Holidays everyone!

This was done right after my “short hair preview” shoot. Hahaha! I have to post this now cause I’m getting that cut pretty soon! Anyway, thanks for reading. Please do leave a comment or a greeting on the tab below. Cheers!

Cropped Top : Short Do preview

So me and a friend of 5 years were betting that last Sunday was finally our day for a cropped top, some coloring, and a much needed head pampering. A shaved side with that imbalanced of a semi-long mane. Definitely artsy. Here’s how fetch it looks in black and white. ( Kudos to the 90’s kids with our own set of terms! )

This was discussed as to how far we’re willing to go for a new look. My original plan was some bolder colors but with only a trim since I was growing out my hair. That did not happen.

Short was such a fad nowadays that you simply had to ride that bandwagon of hot chicks with awesome free spirited attitudes. It’s the 20th century, and gals have to re-invent to spike it up a notch. No more lazy daisies in white fluffy skirts and a top that spells out “Best in Faculty”. We have modernized from lace to leather, from being mostly soft-spoken to greater Independence, from house-bound to big careers. Yup, ladies now a days love to bring the money in. And what better way to show it than to at least look the part as well?

Also, happy to say that my friend won that bet.

The looks posted here were done only in preview. And that’s tying a small pony behind my back and making sure my hair rocked (and felt) shorter than the usual. At least now I know how it looks like on my face. The only question now is…in what color?

Black and Reds: Rockin’ leather from Glenmore!

Paid a visit to Metrowalk the other day and went back to my favorite leather goods store. Although I was more of visiting a friend, a familiar face is a much needed therapy after rounding what seems like endless rows of cd and clothing stalls. At the far end corner, still very much vintage and homey is the Glenmore shoes store. I quickly scanned for the owner and sat down for a chat. There were new leather works on display and I can’t help but look around while talking.

Next thing I knew, I was home, looking at this black and red pair, thinking of a nice match for it. Felt like rockin’ that look with my awesome new boat shoes! Thanks Glenmore! These however are no ordinary pair when it comes to design.

Notice how the Toe box was sewn-in with red leather. The details are amazingly done by hand! What I love is the black thick lace detail at the middle, and how the ends were knotted.

Thanks to Mhay A. (mhaysweetescape.com) for doing my hair and make-up. We had fun gooping up my new short do. Can style it any way I like!

Lomography pins all the way from HK!

The armor ring is an anime fandom from Ai Yazawa’s  Japanese shōjo manga series, Nana. Original design was done by Vivienne Westwood. Giving credits to Riah for the wardrobe mix!
