I can wear a collage. Can you?

Okay the title does not justify all that I have just written. Who cares? You’ll see what I mean when you scroll down in a few minutes. The picture above? It’s hypnotically trying to get you to read this.

You feel like reading…so read…read

Sunday mass ended at 7pm and we were off to the Sunday bazaar to buy some fruits. I told dad I’ll be right by the clothes stall to look at some nice tops. I found this nice collage shirt. And dad was happy enough to buy it for me since I rarely ask for anything major like…a car. Which my brother had. Oh and which by the way I drove back from mass. All I needed now was to renew my license and make bad-ass skid marks on the highway. (kidding!) As soon as I got home I laid down my new top and some black shorts from mom. Yes it seemed like a nice pairing but I wanted to alter the shorts a little bit. I made this real life Polyvore image and put my camera on self timer. I needed the selfie as a vain intervention from mundane freelance work.

Esprit Fashion Show 2012

There were three things that seemed unforgettable that night. One was the very idea that Esprit has hosted a Fashion show right in the middle of Mall Of Asia’s many huge areas. People were watching over the sides, wondering of the clamor and beauties hanging about The Atrium.

Image

Tall statures of foreign origins were dressed and polished to wear Esprit’s latest line of clothes. Their signature timewears, the very highlight of the night, were matched-up accordingly.

All watched as they walked on the catwalk. I’ve admired one watch on a girl. It was black on all corners; metal plated and looking wonderful with a green top.

I could imagine wearing it myself, only with a different blend of mood. Planning to check it out on my next Watch Republic visit.

Second was the many personalities seen that night. These people were more known over cyber space for their writings and pictures. But seeing them live was rather an experience. Esprit has rounded them up, and I was simply amongst the crowd who looked on as they too modeled Esprit watches. David Guison, Patricia Prieto and Vern Enciso were all on stage, strutting their casual Monday looks, hands placed to the front to showcase their timepieces.

Bill Young, the regional Manager for Esprit asia gives a toast to Avinash Uttamchandani, General Manager of Newtrends International.

Third was the most wonderful of all. At the end of the show, one of Esprit team’s manager handed me a box. A box so special, I can’t even begin to describe how happy I was holding it. I hastily flipped through the plastic covering, minding a bit of finesse, the excitement gushing in. I lifted the lid and saw s snow white silicon strap. The silver watch face reflecting as the show lights were being pulled down from their tresses. It was my Second Esprit watch, but this time I got it with recognition.

Being all movie-like-happy, I lifted up the person that handed this wonderful gift to me and sprang out my arms, all poise completely disappearing.

It was a day to remember. All thanks to Esprit Timewear and their wonderful team.

Axis watches are truly versatile. 2nd on my list of great watch finds is this white silicon strapped piece. Accented with metallic blue, the whole piece reminds me of something Arctic. Now that’s one piece that’s cooler than me.

Silicone are definitely making it’s mark in the watch industry! This light blue Deco watch by Axis is a definite buy to the artsy / color lovers crowd! It also comes in purple, green and hot pink. Check out their Facebook site for a better view for the rest of their collections!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside a Swiss pocket watch

Rummaging through my father’s collection of old and discarded things is a Swiss pocket watch. Scratched with a broken glass, I took it out entirely to make sure that no shards will get through any skin. The seconds hand was missing and the digits incomplete, faded from use.

Image

The details of the back were nicely embossed.

And of course inside was the littlest battery I’ve ever seen!  I wonder what other treasure my father keeps tucked away?
